There is a saying that behind every successful man, there is a woman. Well, in our case, behind any successful organization, there are dedicated people!
What happens when a teddy bear falls and breaks his arm? Well, first of all, we need a sling so that the injured arm can be supported and rested. For there to be a sling, we will need bandages! Seen here is one of our volunteers avidly measuring and cutting cloth for our much needed bandages. Such enthusiasm!
Teddy would also like to take the opportunity to ask people out there if there are outdated/unwanted first aid kits or bandages that can be donated to our cause. Teddy will appreciate any help given!
Anatomy anatomy, we need to know the parts of our body and their functions. How are we able to view our organs without using X- rays? Simple, we draw them out to illustrate them! Thanks to our talented artist here, children will be able to have a general understanding of how our organs look like and where they are located in the body.
The concentration in her eyes. I doubt if she will notice if a cannon was fired!
Teddy with her organs. She must be proud to know her anatomy well!
So what's left? We almost have everything ready. Teddy is excited and can't wait for the new adventure, we have all the equipment at the go. The volunteers are well prepared. What else do we need for a hospital? Oh wait, how can this be less obvious? How can we miss this? All hospitals needs an ambulance of course! One of our professors once said, jokingly so, "The 3 things that a hospitals needs are 1) Ambulance 2) Driver for the ambulance 3) Making sure that the driver is available." So how do we go about solving this predicament we have? Well, the smartest choice is to just build one ourselves!
Each person has his/her own job! Cut, stick, paste! We start from scratch!
Medic! This ambulance needs help building up!
This ambulance needs a nose! Or is it where the engine is? Hmmm..
Voila! The almost complete product! Just needs a few more touch up and we have our very own Teddy Bear Hospital ambulance! Let the siren begin!
With this, we can say that Teddy Bear Hospital is near completion. Yes, we are still a mobile hospital and have little patients for now. But there is a Chinese saying, a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. Well, we are taking the first step now, and we will see where this path leads us to. All I can say is, indeed, we are going down the path not taken.
