Teddy Bear Hospital PUGSOM
will be organizing its first ever visit to a kindergarten in 2 weeks’ time.
Each and every one of the volunteers is in maximum gear and ready to rumble.
The excitement is shooting up to the roof and everyone is looking forward to
it. Preparations have been made, equipment
and props have been checked… Wait a minute, there seems to be a major pitfall! Alas,
as of now, we are lacking the necessities to run our activities because of the
lack of resources!
As Teddy Bear Hospital is a
relatively new project, we require funding to help jump start our activities. Our activities require things like bandages, plasters,
laminated cards, paper plates etc., thus each visit to a daycare
center/kindergarten will require a certain amount of funds. In order to come
out with a solution to our impending predicament, we decided to have a fund
raising event among the people in Perdana University (PU).
With Teddy leading the way,
we went around PU explaining to people regarding our project and asked for donation
for our cause. Initially we were quite uncertain with the reception that we
would get as not many people have heard of TBH and may be skeptical of our
project. However, to our delight, everyone we met was very warm to us and was
also very tentative to what we have to say. Below are some of the pictures
showing the interactions between the volunteers and the awesome people of PU.
Our project manager Teddy with our lovely volunteers speaking to PUGSOM faculty members!
An entranced Prof. Andrew confronting Teddy!
Dr. Wana with Teddy. Thank you so much.
Serious discussion with Dr. Jayakumar and Dr. Sri
Thank you for supporting our cause!
Teddy is excited to have another believer!
Romeo and Juliet? Cheers to that!
Our team then approach PU admin staff. We were once once again not disappointed. The support and help given were just overwhelming. Everyone was willing to lend a hand in however they can, be it donating money or first aid kits, or even offering contacts of kindergartens that may be interested in the project! They were all very keen in seeing this project succeed and were in line with TBH's objectives. Most of them have children and have experienced their children's "white coat anxiety". Many are hopeful that TBH will be able to solve this problem.
We want to extend our appreciation to the staff of PU for their unwavering support. We also want to apologize as we are unable to identify the names of all these kind people.
Ms. Gunavathy
Ms. Jenny being very supportive, thank you!
Teddy says thank you to Ms. Jenny!
Kak Mas from CSU. Thanks for everything! We truly appreciate your help.
Even our dear Mr. Aru can't resist Teddy!
Mr. Aaron says hi to all!
Thank you Ms. Wan, Ms. Nor Azlin, Ms. Aida for all your support!
Mr. Amin and Teddy make a good pair! Such jovial faces! Thank you.
Mr. Alvin and Ms. Mogana, both who gave us good advice and support. Thank you.
Students from our very own program were also very supportive of our cause!
It was a very memorable day for us, for every one showed us what kindness and generosity can achieve. We just want to emphasize that without all of you, it would have been an insurmountable task for us to start jump start TBH project. Thank you so much, and may the odds be ever in your favor (There, I have just admitted it. I am a fan of that series).
